Energate’s CCDR solutions includes IHD (In-Home Displays) that allow Utilities to communicate with their customers in real time, and helps make consumers more aware of their energy use and their role in reducing consumption.

Energate IHDs are extremely easy to use, making it attractive to Utilities who are interested in making IHDs widely available at little or no cost to their customers. Energate IHDs are ZigBee® Smart Energy 1.0 certified, and use Certicom ECC production security certificates.

Our IHDs are equipped to receive software upgrades over the air, either directly from the meter, or via a USB ZigBee® dongle on a PC. They also have the ability to receive custom data packets transparent to the meter via standard ZigBee® text messages. This allows the IHD to implement new features in advance of their support in the official standard, and to support legacy equipment in the field so that there are no stranded assets.
