The HAN’s Value in the Smart Grid
The Home Area Network (HAN) is a subsystem within the Smart Grid dedicated to Demand-Side Management (DSM), including energy efficiency and demand response.
Energate offers a full range of HAN devices including:
- Pioneer Z100 Smart Thermostat to control HVAC equipment, including central air conditioners
- LC301 wired load control switches to control water heaters, pool pumps and appliances
- In-Home Display functionality is available either as an integral part of the smart thermostat or on a standalone device
- ZIP Connect ZigBee to IP Bridge provides secure, two-way connectivity over the customer’s high speed Internet access
