^ Plug-In Load Manager Frequently Asked Questions

^ Why is there no power to my device plugged into the load manager?

The plug-in load manager takes a few seconds to do some safety checks before providing power. If the green lights are flashing, wait 10 seconds and see if power comes on. If there is no green light solid on to the left of the receptacle you want to use, it may be that your device is turned off using the web interface. Try logging in to the web portal to turn it back on. If you see red lights flashing there may be a problem with the power source. Try to unplug the device from the wall for 10 seconds and then plug it back in to see if that resolves the problem. If this does not fix the problem, contact technical support for assistance (see Contact technical support).

^ Why does my device show offline in the Consumer Portal?

Check your plug-in load manager to see if the orange light is on solid to the right of the receptacles. If it is not, you have lost connection to the server. Make sure the load manager is within range of your gateway. Try to unplug the device for 10 seconds and plug it back in to see if that resolves the problem. If you are connected to the server using a ZIP Connect, make sure it is connected to the internet and then unplug the ZIP Connect from the wall for 10 seconds and plug it back in. The orange link light should go solid when it connects to the server. See if this resolves the problem. If you are connected to the server using a Wi-Fi enabled Foundation, make sure that the Foundation has signal bars and a “W” or “D” in the top right corner of its home screen. If it does not, make sure your internet router is working correctly. Unplug your router from the wall for 10 seconds and then plug it back in to see if that resolves the problem.
If this does not fix the problem, contact technical support for assistance (see Contact technical support).

^ Can I use the second (lower) plug on the plug-in load manager?

The lower plug on the plug-in load manager can be used to power appliances, but its power cannot be measured and it cannot be turned on or off from the web portal. Both plugs will turn off if an energy event is sent by your utility to the device.
